I recall a time where I had been competing all day and also had my period. At this stage in my period journey I was still pretty intimidated by tampons and so had been relying on a pad all day. Turns out I had leaked through and had a stain on my shorts. One of the older girls ran up to let me know and then walked behind to cover me on my walk of shame back to the stands so I could put on my tracksuit pants. I will forever remember!
