We’ve got you! Head to our contact form, let us know that you have spotted a period problem and let’s get talking. Let us know what the specific period pain is and we can reach to the club and coaches and offer some Game changing. Period support. (Don’t worry we won’t tell them who sent us, but we might give them burpies!)
You’re our MVP! Champions like you are central to the success of Game changing. Period and shifting menstrual stigma. We encourage you to share your own story or if you see yourself as more of a captain enquire about our ambassador program.
Periods are as unique as we are individuals and there is no one blanket solution to management. Whilst it can be challenging to find out what works best for you and your body, having a wellness team in your corner can be really helpful! Our period education experts at the Pelvic Pain Foundation have some great tips on this and your club or association has access to FREE education sessions for players and support people. This education provides important knowledge that can assist in having conversations around period management to keep you in the game. We also recommend using an app or diary to help track any trends throughout your cycle including energy and performance.
We recommend seeking the advice of a health professional with an interest in this area. Having a regular doctor who’s got an interest in women’s health and pelvic pain to coach you through any period problems or changes can help give you an advantage over pain (period.) There’s also some other great strategies that can help such as stretches and devices such as TENS machines.
